  • Improved nostril symmetry

  • Columella repositioned to a neutral alignment

  • Stronger and more balanced nasal base structure[Nose Lab Clinic]

Hello, this is Dr. Cha-Young Kang from Nose Lab Clinic.

Today, I will share a case of bulbous nose correction and nostril asymmetry improvement using a masculine straight bridge design while preserving a natural and balanced nasal appearance.

1. Initial Assessment

a. Frontal View

  • Bulbous, wide nasal tip

  • Nostril asymmetry

  • Flat, broad nasal structure

b. Side Profile

  • Droopy nasal tip

  • Slightly protruded mouth appearance

  • Low starting point of the nasal bridge

c. Nostril & Columella

  • Nostril asymmetry

  • Columella deviated to the right

2. Patient’s Requests

  • Refined nasal shape

  • Straight, masculine nasal bridge

  • A tip that is neither overly sharp nor upturned

  • Avoiding an excessively lifted nose

  • Improvement in nasal breathing

3. Surgical Approach

a. Structural Correction

  • Bulbous nasal tip refinement

  • Straight bridge formation (masculine straight line)

  • Columella realignment to correct deviation

b. Aesthetic Refinement

  • Reshaping the nasal tip for a sophisticated, natural look

  • Nasolabial angle correction to balance facial proportions

  • Maintaining a proportional and symmetrical nose width

c. Functional Enhancement

  • Septoplasty for structural improvement

  • Radiofrequency turbinate reduction to relieve nasal congestion

  • Enhancement of nasal airflow

4. Surgical Outcomes

Before (Left) / Immediately After (Right)

a. Frontal View

  • Refined bulbous nose shape

This case required precise adjustments to refine the nasal tip, correct asymmetry, and create a masculine yet natural straight bridge. The patient specifically requested a nose that would not appear sharp or over-lifted, so we focused on subtle but impactful refinements. The additional functional enhancements further contributed to better breathing and nasal stability.
